Help us become a Sustainable School!
As part of our Season of Creation celebrations we have teamed up with Zero Co to promote the elimination of single use plastics in everyday beauty and cleaning products. The Season of Creation goes from 1 September to 4 October to encourage us to think how we can better care for our common home by responding to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.
For every product sold via our Sustainable Schools page, the school can earn up to $40, AND, Zero Co pulls 1kg of plastic out of the ocean for every $10 raised. The campaign goes until 4 October, so please jump on it today and help raise much needed funds for the school, as well as cleaning up our oceans in the process. Money raised will go towards improving our College waste management processes.

Explosion Catholic Youth Conference 4-7 of October, St Edmund’s College, Canberra
Explosion is a Catholic Youth Conference for students in Years 7 to 12. It is run each year by the Disciples of Jesus Catholic lay community in Canberra along with the Missionaries of God's Love Sisters & the Missionaries of God’s Love Priests & Brothers.
Explosion 2022 will be held at St Edmund’s College, Canberra from the 4-7 of October. It is a live-out conference so you go home at night but spend the whole day and evening at Eddie’s from 9:00am-9:00pm (the first day starts at 5:00pm with registration).
If travelling from outside Canberra participants will need to make private arrangements for accommodation and to be transported to and from St Edmund’s each day.
Explosion is a conference where young people can seek to answer the big questions about life and faith. It is an opportunity for youth to be formed intellectually in their faith and to deepen their relationship with God.
The Explosion theme question for 2022 is "What's Missing?"
Participants can expect quality speakers, interactive games, powerful prayer, music and food. They’ll also get the opportunity to connect with around 100 like-minded students from around Canberra and beyond.
The registration cost is $120 inclusive of all meals throughout the conference and $100 for any siblings!

Cyberbullying is sending or sharing seriously threatening, seriously intimidating, seriously harassing or humiliating online content to or about someone under 18.
The behaviour might include abusive texts and emails, hurtful messages or creating fake accounts to trick someone or humiliate them.
One in five young Australians aged 8 to 17 years say they have been socially excluded, threatened or abused online.
In partnership with the eSafety Commissioner the Council of Catholic School Parents NSW/ACT will run a free webinar for parents and carers of students aged 10 -18 years.
