The College provides classroom based technology in Kinder to Year 6. Year 7 to 12 students are required to provide their own compliant device (BYOD) to engage in all technology based classroom activities.
The use of web based technologies at the school, such as Microsoft Teams and Google Suite, mean that student devices need to be capable of running a web browser to access and operate these programs to be used effectively as a learning device.
Staff and students have recognised the additional benefits that modern Laptop and Chromebook style devices can bring to the learning environment, as these work well with the current software requirements.
The College also maintains computer and technology resources for specialist subject areas where more processing power or there are specialist software requirements.
Information about types of devices and minimum technology requirements can be downloaded below.

Student Bus Passes
The School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) gives eligible school students free or subsidised travel between home and school on NSW public transport.
Eligible cards are automatically updated for the new school year, so you'll only need to apply if you're:
- applying for a school travel pass for the first time
- changing name, school and/or address, or
- requesting an additional pass as a result of a new shared parental responsibility situation.
Bus passes are distributed to students by the College at the beginning of Term 1 each year. Receipt of your child's pass is subject to the date your online application is submitted.
For more information, including how to apply for your child's bus pass, please visit https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-school-travel-pass
School Drive Subsidy - Are you eligible?
The School Drive Subsidy is available in areas where there is limited or no public transport. The subsidy is intended to partly offset the cost of using a private vehicle to drive the eligible student all or part of the way to school. You only need to apply if you're applying for the School Drive Subsidy for the first time.
To find out more please visit https://transportnsw.info/tickets-opal/ticket-eligibility-concessions/school-student-travel/apply-for-school-drive-subsidy

Parent Portal
Our Sentral Parent Portal provides you with 24/7 access to your child’s information including:
- Updating your child’s medical and emergency contact information
- Acquittal of your child’s absences
- Viewing your child’s attendance record, wellbeing details, daily timetable information, and Year 7 to Year 12 academic reports
Sentral Portal registration information is emailed to new students, parents and carers at the start of each school year.
Student Portal
The Sentral Student Portal is a one-stop shop for student resources. Using their College network login students can access their timetable, daily messages, resources and helpful links, homework and teacher messages anywhere at any time.
You can download more information about Sentral below.
As part of our ongoing efforts to offer diverse learning experiences your child may attend local and/or regular excursions throughout the 2025 school year. These excursions are generally held on the College campus or local vicinity and fall within scheduled class times. You would also have been asked to provide this consent on your child’s enrolment form.
Excursions not meeting this criterion will still require parental and guardian consent which can be made online via Compass!.
Whilst this arrangement simplifies the excursion consent process, it will mean that keeping your child’s personal information and contact details up to date throughout the school year is vital.
By keeping your child’s details current, College staff are able to support your child should they require additional assistance whilst on College grounds or on outings or excursions in the general locality and are able to contact you quickly in an emergency.
Whilst the provision of your child’s medical information is voluntary, if you do not provide all or any of this information, the College’s capacity to support your child’s health needs could be impaired.
To update your child's information please emailing details to lccc@cg.catholic.edu.au or providing written advice of any changes. Unfortunately, the College is unable to update your child’s information on verbal advice and any changes must be received in writing.
Lumen Christi acknowledges that due to food processing practices, it is impractical to eliminate nuts or nut products entirely from an environment where there is food. Rather than proclaiming that we are a nut free school, we focus on being a nut aware school.
For more information please read our Nut Aware Policy.
Sometimes keeping your child at home can be a difficult decision, but sending a sick child to school can result in a miserable day of learning.
There’s also a very good chance that your child is spreading their illness to their classmates, teachers and staff on College campus.
If your child is feeling unwell, for any reason, please keep your child at home.
If you are concerned about your child falling behind in their studies, please contact their PC teacher who may be able to assist with having work sent home.
For further information please contact the College by telephoning (02) 6495 8888 or emailing lccc@cg.catholic.edu.au
Your observance of the following guidelines will help keep the carparks at Lumen Christi safer place for everyone:
Speed Limits and Penalties
- Carpark speed limit is 5kmph (walking pace).
- The speed limit in school zone Culgoa Crescent and Pambula Beach Road, is 40kmph between 8:00am and 9:30am and 2:30pm and 4:00pm. At all other times it is 50kmph.
- Please observe all safety and parking signs. Failure to follow signage could result in a monetary fine and loss of licence points.
Where’s the best place to drop off and collect my child?
- Exercise patience when entering the Kiss and Drop Zone and College car parks.
- The Kiss and Drop Zone is the bay directly in front of the Primary building (Block 6), on Culgoa Crescent, is the preferred option for dropping your child/ren to and from College.
- Parents dropping off children within the College car park must use the designated parking area which has been set aside for them. This is the first bay on the right as you enter the College car park (staff have been instructed to not use these parks so as to keep them available for parents).
- Do not allow your child/ren to get out of your vehicle unless you are actually parked in the designated parking zone or within the Kiss and Drop Zone.
- Do not pick up or drop child/ren off in the middle of the car park, or double park at any time. This holds up other vehicles and slows down the progress of Kiss and Drop and movement of traffic through the College car park. This is a particularly dangerous for small children who are then required to move in and around moving vehicles.
- Never do a U-turn or a three point turn outside the College, in the Kiss and Drop zone or College carparks as it puts children at risk of harm.
Please refer to the map below for traffic flow in College Car parks.
What else do I need to know about College Car Park Safety?
- Do not park in the loading zone – this is clearly marked by signs and needs to remain available for deliveries.
- Do not park in the Bus Lane entry on Pambula Beach Road or along the Bus Lane exit on Culgoa Crescent.
- Do not park on grassed areas or mount the curb to park your vehicle on College grounds.
- Do not park in the small parking area closest to the College Front Office.
- Do not park in the Disabled Parking unless you have the appropriate permit.
- Do not walk through the parking area outside the Block 1 Administration offices. Please follow the yellow pedestrian markings.
- Do not park in bus lanes, at the southern and western sides of the College.
- Students are not permitted to ride bicycles/scooters through the College carparks. They are required to walk their bicycle / scooter off the College premises via a footpath. Helmets should be worn at all times.
- Lumen Christi students are not permitted to park vehicles in the College carparks. Parking is available at the Pambula Sporting Complex.
Remember to model safe and considerate
driving behaviour for your child
They will learn from you!
