What is ICAS?
ICAS is an online academic competition that is designed to assess students’ higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Writing, Spelling Bee and Digital Technologies.
Each assessment celebrates students’ accomplishments by providing opportunities for recognition and development. Every student who participates will receive a printed certificate and an online results report. Top performers will be eligible for medals.
We encourage you to consider entering your child into ICAS this year.

Dear Parents and Carers
In response to student requests for more consent education, the College has engaged Consent Labs to run sessions with Years 8-12 in Week 9. For Years 9 & 10 this will coincide with their annual retreat.
We as a school believe that these educational sessions are important in providing our students with the knowledge to empower themselves in understanding their rights, and to be fully informed with knowing what resources are available to them if necessary. Every young person deserves to be safe and respected in relationships. If you wish for your child to OPT OUT of the Consent Labs session, please contact the Front Office or fill out the attached form.
Consent Labs
Consent Labs is an Australian, youth-run, evidence-based, not for profit organisation which empowers school communities with consent and respectful relationship education. Aligned to the Australian curriculum as dictated by Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA), they have worked with 40,000 people across Australia.
Anonymous Q&A
If students have questions about consent and healthy relationships that they’d like the presenter to address anonymously, please encourage them to write it on the Consent Lab Q&A LINK
Year 9 and 10 Retreat
The Retreat component of the day for Year 9 and 10 will focus on human dignity, empathy and the importance of self-reflection within our Catholic Tradition which aligns with the key concepts they’ll discuss during the Consent Labs session. The Retreat is an integral part of College life and forms part of a program that is developed as students’ progress through Lumen Christi. Parents and students are reminded that this is a compulsory school day. Any student absences on a retreat day must be fully explained.
Week 9
