From Religious Education Curriculum
Social Justice
It’s always heart-warming to see the overflowing classroom of students who turn up every Tuesday lunchtime for our LCCC Social Justice Advocates group. Both primary and secondary students share their passion for supporting Wellbeing, Empowering Communities and caring for the Environment in the three sub-committees.
This year we are aligning our SJA group with Caritas’ Catholic Earthcare as part of our Laudato Si Action Plan. All three initiatives share the goals of responding to “the cry of the poor” and “the cry of the earth”. As we work toward Level 2 certification as a Catholic Earthcare school, the students are sure to inspire their peers and the wider community to consider even more ways we can “be kind and compassionate to one another” (our 2023 Scriptural Theme).
